Residents’ first priority should be protection of life, therefore if there is an imminent risk to life please contact the emergency services on 999.
Residents need to do all they can to protect themselves and their property. Simple steps include:
• Preparation of a Household Flood Action Plan
• Protecting valuables and important documents
• Listening and acting on the advice of the emergency services
• Moving upstairs or to higher ground as soon as is possible and keeping warm.

The Bobby Scheme

The Cambridgeshire Bobby Scheme is a local charity which provides a service to older or vulnerable people by improving home security to reduce crime and the fear of crime.
If you have been a victim of crime and you are over 60, you can receive a free visit. If you are 65 and over or disabled and would like a visit from the Bobby Scheme to reduce your chance of becoming a victim, they ask for a contribution of £30.00 towards their costs.
