As some of you have reported a group of caravans have parked along the cycleway from Ditton Lane to the woods north of Marleigh. So far this is not impeding passing cyclists or pedestrians, although most of the vans are parked on the footpath. The police have attended the site, but we have not received any communications from them. The District, and parish councillors have also been on site assessing the situation.
All the relevant authorities are fully aware of the situation and the officers from the Council have been on site to get first hand information. All the relevant information has been passed to Hill/Marshall the developer, and officers at the District and County Council.
Everyone is well aware of the health and safety implication and doing all in their powers to mitigate the situation as far as possible.
