The Parish Council has been made aware of several cycle accidents on Ditton Meadows in the past few days, possibly caused by a damaged cattle grid. We contacted District Cllr Carla Hofman to see if she could help. As this part of the meadows is not in the Fen Ditton parish, she contacted the City ward Councillor for this area, Cllr Naomi Bennett. Cllr Bennett has now spoken to the City structures team, and we understand the team responded last night (23rd Jan). They are currently arranging a contractor to go to site asap and the team will also investigate a more permanent solution with the Greater Cambridgeshire Partnership. The Landowner has also been made aware of this issue and is assisting in the resolution.
Update – Temporary repair.
