Minutes of Fen Ditton Parish Council Meeting held on Tuesday, 04^th March 2025 at 7.00pm in the Marleigh Office, Marleigh.

Member of public asked about our action plan on the 20mph funding application of 25/26, Cllr Farrar will compile the re-application for Church Street and Green End.

Minutes of the meeting held on 11^th February 2025 & 6^th Nov 2024 are approved.

Pecuniary declaration received from Cllr Kim Butler for Item no 2025/45 Cambridge small works.

To receive reports from and questions to:

County Councillor/s budget 25-26 prioritise investment in Highway Maintenance and Children who become looked-after and building schools.

Increase of council tax by 4.99% (2% of which is for adult social services)

Footway in Church street to be resurfaced in March 2025 under capital scheme programme.

Update on Steering group meeting.

T1: Yew – Crown lift from 2m to 2.5m and reduction back to previous cuts, reducing overall crown by approx 1 m to ensure clearance from house and overhanging pavement.

It is approved to put to a sign in High Street to restrict motorhome and Caravans parking, however needs some changes in phrasing. Updated phrasing will be emailed to all councillors before implementation.

2025/50

Grant application from Fen Ditton Cricket Club for additional fencing is put on pause and a request for alternative, lower cost portable solution be sent to the club, there is a further worry regarding the grant application being the entire years grant budget, and exceeding what can be allocated for the number of local users

Proposal for Fireworks display in Nov 2025 is provisionally accepted. Council request volunteers create & present a comprehensive plan in May 25 Council meeting, incorporating all the new regulations.

Revised Cemetery Regulations & Rates are approved. All funeral directors and Church to be notified.

It should be noted that no decisions can lawfully be made under this item. LGA 1972 s12 10(2)(b) states
